Michel and Edgard Mansoor represented the Mansoor Family in Nancy on November 21 and 22, 2009 during festivities honoring the late Dr. (Abbé) Étienne Drioton on the 120th anniversary of his birth. Michel and Edgard Mansoor presented two pieces (a head and a relief of Akhenaten in pink limestone) from the M.A. Mansoor Amarna Collection to the "Cercle Scientifique Etienne Drioton" (CSED) in recognition of the great French Egyptologist's monumental scientific work in the field of ancient Egyptian Culture and History. The Akhenaten head and relief will be temporarily exhibited in the Musee de Montgeron in Ile-de-France, until such time that a "Musee Drioton" or a "Institut Drioton" is built in Nancy where Dr. Drioton was born. “On reading the reports, it would seem that just about the last word has been said on the subject. I should think you would be well content with the expert opinions expressed by Dr. Kirk, Dr. Arnal and others. I don't think there is much point in getting another opinion, even though it is from a person connected with a prominent institution.”

- Rutherford J. Gettens, Curator of the Research Laboratory of the Freer Gallery of Art in a letter dated August 25, 1959, addressed to Dr. Fred H. Stross.
